Itching for Rhapsody!

Who else is just as excited about Kelly Wearstler's new book Rhapsody? Mine is pre-ordered and I can't wait to pick it up off my door step!

Her design work, be it interior or fashion is one of a kind and never disappointing. Every time I see a bit of her work, I am always left wanting more.

Until the 23rd, we are just left counting the days to sink our eyes into this book, I am sure it will be just as good, if not better than her previous books!

3 days and counting,

Holla @ Hollywood Regency

I absolutely adore Hollywood Regency interiors. They are just so glam, so rich with color and texture. So you could imagine my excitement when I got an email inquiring about Interior Design Services and she mentioned that she loved Hollywood Regency. My fingers couldn't type a response email fast enough!

I've been doing lots of inspiration pumping and feasting my eyes on numerous Hollywood Regency styled homes. So I've decided to share my excitement with you and let you take a look at the beautiful interiors.

It doesn't get much better than this. How could you go wrong with an awesome image of Liza?!

Kelly Wearstler never fails with her designs. It's always dripping in Hollywood Regency vibes...

Take a look at this space. I can't get enough of the wow factors that this designer put in here! I am just dying over the mirrors and the chandelier, perfection.

Take it to the bedroom with this amazing look. I love the orange walls!

So, what do you think of the Hollywood Regency look? Which room is your favorite? Stay tuned for photos in the future of the project soon to go underway!

Coastal Love

Yesterday, I was driving to work and it was such a beautiful day here in Indian Rocks Beach, FL. The sun was shining and the water was glistening. It looked like someone just threw glitter in the bay. It brought an instant smile to my face and I felt cheery all day.

Throughout the day I was thinking of beautiful coastal inspired interiors and I haven't been able to shake this stunning color palette. I love the beautiful green and blue hues...

So here are a few coastal inspired images that make my beachy heart sing! :)

I love the coastal-cool retro kitchen:

I love the shutter details on the walls of this breakfast nook:

Provide a happy dose of sunshine for your guests with a bedroom like this:

Kelly Wearstler's line of textiles would work out great for a coastal home:

I don't know about you... but this would be my perfect beach home. Modern, sleek and full of windows and natural light....

Pink?

Pink. Pink is a color that quite honestly, I have never been really fond of. You wont find it in my closet. You wont find it really in anything I purchase or like. But lately... I have to admit, I have been a little smitten with pink. But in only one application... interior design. For some reason, you still wont find me wearing it. Well, unless it's the palest of blush pink, maybe.

So what's up with this new little crush on pink that I have? For some reason, I just really love the idea of waking up in a pale pink room. To me, a pale pink room filled with sunlight is just such a happy welcome to the morning. Just like the sunshine that I hope to flood into my room, other shades of pink are starting to flood into my interior design inspiration.

Plus this lovely little handbook "500 Favorite Paint Colors" from House Beautiful helped me realize that after all  I just might like pink! If you haven't checked this issue from House Beautiful, I highly suggest you do!

When people think of pink, they tend to think of a girls room and that's it. I challenge you to go outside the girly pink box and be daring with pink. Pink can be masculine too. Pair it with grays, navys, yellows and creams and you've got a new look on this old fashioned girly color.
Take a peek at these ever inspiring pink rooms. You might end up like me, and actually really love them!

This is one of my favorite pink installations, from a London Designer who used
Farrow & Balls "Pink Ground"on the walls, nothing says too girly about this room...

Notice the great contrast between the drapery and the chair...

Okay, I don't know about you guys... but I LOVE Betsey Johnson, she rocks my fashion socks off, and her home is just as vibrant fun and energetic. I adore the citrus yellow against this bubblegum pink, and the graphic rug takes it to a whole new level! Check out this fashionista's abode...

An eclectic mix that makes me want a pink living room...

The following are a few of those images that fall in my sun-filled morning category, completely serene...

Just what would a pink post be without Kelly Wearstler? Well, like a fish with no water! Her home office is floor to ceiling pink, and let's talk about these amazing golden hand chairs, how fun are they?

I am chomping at the bit to install this wallpaper (designed by Kelly herself) somewhere, any takers?

And of course, I can't leave out this darling little girls room...

Fabrics, Fabrics, Oooo la la!

I absolutely love Kelly Wearstler, her design style is color, texture & sculpture O.D.... (well a good O.D.) I basically have to wipe my chin when talking about her jaw dropping, drool inducing designs! Her work has a perfect balance of color, texture, whimsy and tradition. She definitely takes a nod to the classics but pushes forward with her own twist.

Since I love her design work, you can only imagine how excited I was to hear about her line of textiles for Lee Jofa! The last time I was at the Merchandise Mart you can bet I jumped right into the Lee Jofa Showroom to get my Kelly Wearstler fabric fix! So brace yourself for these next images of her beautiful fabrics, you might have to wipe your chin ;)

This next one I particularly love. It definitely has a Japanese vibe, but I could see it used in many different applications... I am thinking it would look fabulous on a side chair in my future beach home (Hey! A girl can dream!)

And in case your aren't already aware, Kelly has a great book out called "Hue" so next time your in the market for a truly inspiring design book, make sure you pick this one up!

Happy fabric finds! xoxo- Lisa
