Lisa Gilmore Design's got a brand new do!

I am bursting at the seams with excitement to share with you, Lisa Gilmore Design's new look! I liked my previous logo a lot, and it was great for what I was looking for at the time, but as I pursue growing my business, I realized that I have to put more work into creating a whole image/brand. For a few months I have been working with a very talented graphic designer in Miami, Stacye. She is fantastic. Not only is she great at graphic design, but she is fantastic at creating a whole brand. Which, like I said above, is exactly what I wanted.

So ladies and gents, let me introduce to you the new look of Lisa Gilmore Design:

I still loved the stacked look of my name, kept the green color way which I loved but, changed the hue a bit, freshened it up with this fantastic pattern, that I found inspiration from while sourcing wallpaper! (I just sent her a photo of it one day and she came up with this design.) I also still loved the exaggerated "L" in my name, so Stacye kept that as well, she tweaked the font a bit, and voila! My new look!

Then, here comes the other fun stuff of building a brand!
Color Consultation gift certificates, amazing little boxes to put them in, new business cards, great little stickers, introduction tags, the works! Isn't she one stellar graphic/brand designer? Working with Stacye, was not only easy but fun! She really loves what she does and you can tell. She will go above and beyond to make you happy and make sure that you and the personality of your business really shine through! I highly recommend her!

I am still working on the actual website and making everything cohesive, but it will be up and together very soon, so bare with me and my web designer as we work on it together. I just couldn't wait to show this exciting new image!

So what do you think?

Teenage Dream

A friend tagged a photo on Facebook asking my opinion and budget costs for a teenage girls bedroom...
It got my inspiration wheels spinning and this is what I came up with...
What do you think? Would you love this room if you were a teenage girl? It would have been a dream come true for me! :)

Giddy for Green

Lately, I have been on a serious green kick. Usually, I am attracted to the beautiful hue of Kelly Green, but recently all types of greens have been making me giddy! What is it about green? It's such a great color and can evoke so many emotions. It can leave and fresh and energized or moody and creative. Take a look at some of these green interiors that are inspiring me today:

First, I want to share some moody greens. I once read that art is represented best on a dark green palette. This following images proves that in fact, that statement is true.

How about adding some green through window treatments? This Malachite fabric looks stunning in the form of tailored shades.

Check out Sir Elton John's pad designed by the one and only Martyn Lawrence Bullard. That green wall mixed with the large scale art is electric!

Currently, I have been a little hot for Mint Green. Yes, I know, that surprises myself as well. But I can just can't get enough of the refreshing color!!

Mix it with black and then pop it up with some coral:

Mint Green paired with Kelly Green? Now we're talkin'...

And last, but surely not least, look at this beautiful exterior. I would love to come home to this everyday:
Mint + Black + White

Which green speaks to you? Would you put green in your interior or exterior color palette?

New life to an old headboard!

I am so excited to share this post with you. I already did a post earlier with the pet paintings I delivered today, but I am so excited to show you this find!
So it's your lucky day, you get a two-for-one!

Today I was out and about and went into a local antique store. I went in looking for a lamp for my client, but left with this in the Jeep! For only $50 it is such a steal, I couldn't wait to get home and give it a new look!

I love the way the headboard looks against the gray walls in our living room. Maybe I will just paint my whole house gray?? ;)

As we all know, good design takes time... so I am patiently sourcing items for our bedroom, stay tuned for the finished project and to see this headboard in it's happy home!

Do you like the green? What color would you have chosen?

xoxo,
Lisa

Coastal Love

Yesterday, I was driving to work and it was such a beautiful day here in Indian Rocks Beach, FL. The sun was shining and the water was glistening. It looked like someone just threw glitter in the bay. It brought an instant smile to my face and I felt cheery all day.

Throughout the day I was thinking of beautiful coastal inspired interiors and I haven't been able to shake this stunning color palette. I love the beautiful green and blue hues...

So here are a few coastal inspired images that make my beachy heart sing! :)

I love the coastal-cool retro kitchen:

I love the shutter details on the walls of this breakfast nook:

Provide a happy dose of sunshine for your guests with a bedroom like this:

Kelly Wearstler's line of textiles would work out great for a coastal home:

I don't know about you... but this would be my perfect beach home. Modern, sleek and full of windows and natural light....
